Lumbini was the other magical place in Nepal where I had a few interesting encounters. It was the birth place of Gautama Buddha.
When my friend and I travelled from the mountains to Lumbini, my friend showed me the Line of Intuition on her palm. It reddened and seemed to have deepened slightly. She told me it was a sign that Lumbini was very close by. Indeed, it was just another 15 minutes drive.
The place was a very quiet and it held very ancient energies. My friend would sense the energy of the ruins (as shown in the photo below) by placing her palm on it. There was one particular spot among the ruins where she felt intense and immense energy. I tried but could not sense anything. That was the spot where Gautama Buddha had sat for his meditation.
Next we entered Mayadevi temple and saw the exact birth place of Gautama Buddha. Again, the energy was intense and I could not sense as much as my friend. She took some pictures and we moved on.
Despite being a little disappointed that I could not sense any energy, I was very pleased that I made the trip. I believed without questions then that these energies were present. It was especially so after my initiation experiences I had through my meditations earlier in the mountains.
We were chauffeured around to other places like Lumbini Garden and the place of Eternal Peace Flame. As we drove out of Eternal Peace Flame and into what appeared to be the wilderness, I saw something that caught my attention. A UNICORN! Yes! I saw a white unicorn. It was standing tall and looking at us. It was the only one in the wilderness, with no other noticeable creatures around. My friend saw it too and asked the driver what it was. The driver took a good 5 minutes before answering. 'Oh, it is a cow." We took a good look at it. Yes, it may be a cow, a lost cow. But it stood tall and strong like a horse. It was not the usual fat and lazy cows that we knew. The exchange of glances went on for some time and we drove away quietly, each of us could be thinking hard what animal we actually saw earlier. I was mystified by the unicorn. All the spiritual people whom I have met these few years asked me not to doubt the encounter. That moment which started as surreal ended up becoming so real and sacred through the years.
Finally, upon our return to Singapore, I felt the strong energy of the birth place of Buddha. It was etched in the photo which my friend took. The sensation went right through my right hand, and from my arm up to my teeth on the right. That moment marked the completion of initiation. I felt it at last! Energy went beyond space, time and distance.
Space, time and distance are part of the greater illusion.
In violet love and joy,
